Our History

While he became a Doctor of Chiropractic in 2003, Dr. Kauffman took over this practice in 2011. After spending the first 8 years of his Chiropractic career as integral part of a group practice in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Dr. Kauffman and his family moved back to the Bay Area. A graduate of Palmer West Chiropractic College in San Jose, California, Dr. Kauffman was ready to open up his own practice.

Thrive Milpitas was originally born inside a Fitness Center at Jacklin and 680, which will always be a very special place for Dr Kauffman and his family. Due to its continued growth, in 2015 Thrive Milpitas moved to its current location on Jacklin Road. Dr. Kauffman felt the location of the new office was perfect, and just down the road from the original location.. As Dr. Kauffman and the Thrive Team love the Milpitas, California community, they wanted to stay close to the original location.

Though it is still growing, at Thrive Milpitas, we know we offer services like no other wellness center in the Bay Area. Since Dr. Kauffman took over the practice, the business has flourished, and now offers acupuncture, yoga, and has multiple massage rooms to compliment the chiropractic and wellness center. In addition to Dr. Kauffman, our wellness center in Milpitas, California is fortunate enough to have some of the greatest massage therapists in the area, as well as Dr. Mike who is also a Palmer West graduate.

With this amazing combination of wellness experts, the quality of care at Thrive Milpitas is unmatched. The wellness center also has two Therapy Studios to provides one-on-one physical rehabilitation, yoga, meditation and personal training. Thrive Milpitas also offers individual treatment plans, physiotherapy, and education for all-around life/body improvement through the additional resources of personal training and yoga therapy.

Thrive Milpitas has had great success combining chiropractic care, physical fitness, nutrition, and A.R.T.© as part of patient care. Not only has Thrive Milpitas had success with treating professional and amateur athletes, but Dr. Kauffman was even chosen to treat world-class athletes at the 2003 IronMan World Championships in Kona, Hawaii. As proud owners of Thrive Milpitas, Dr. Kauffman and his family strive to provide the wonderful Milpitas community (and surrounding areas) with the best health care in the region.
